French Hip Hop : Hocus Pocus

Hocus Pocus is a french hip hop crew. Formed in the 90’s with 20sly as only emcee. Now the group changed since the 90’s, 20sly is still the only emcee but with differents musiciens (bass, battery, guitar, fender rhodes…). They are actually one of the most honorable hip hop crew in France, mixing soul and jazz.

They released their first album “73 touches” in 2005. Pretty good. And came back last year with “Place 54″. This place 54 is the place of 20Syl in a train ( he used to travel from Nantes, where he comes from, to Paris ). This album is like a travel with the mind of 20Syl, observing people in the train, wanting them to smile, thinking about vacation, about music… All that with a lot of irony.
