Mos Def a fan of DOOM

I been tellin’ folks since Operation: Doomsday and people cryin’ about commercial viability, beats not soundin’ like Young Guru mixed em, backpacker this, purist that.

Straight up, when DOOM raps, I don’t want to listen hear to anyone else rapping. There are a few rappers I feel that way about, but this about DOOM.

This video was so dope! me and my brother use to be up all night on the phone going back and forth about Doom Lyrics, we were just like Mos Def, he is just unbelievable, we use to dissect his lyrics like we was getting paid for it LOL. When it comes to rapping i don’t think anyone can do it better

to concur with king, this video shows you the power of DOOM because king’s brother and me had been trading DOOM’S lyrics thru texting all of the past two weeks. this just shows how genius can be recognized even when everyone else dosen’t see it. Mos’s line about how he stared at the “Madvaillainy” album cover had to be the most gratifying moment because that was a simple but powerful cover. biggup to mos

Yea, that album cover was just vintage. If you never heard Doom or madlib and you just picked the album up in the store, you would probably say to yourself “This has to be dope” No lyric is wasted by Doom. The way he puts words together metaphorically is unmatched. I remember buying like 3 copies of Madvillainy when it came out…and this was after I already had the old leaked version. I just wanted to pass them hoes out. LOL On some “Listen to greatness” shit.

Doom is by far the underated Emcee that has ever graced the mic. Just remember ALL CAPS WHEN YOU SPELL THE MANS NAME!
